Fashion wedding and event photographer

Hi all, my name is Sophie Berger and I’m a freelance event and wedding photographer based in Amsterdam. Next to photography I have a big passion for travelling, meeting new people and cultures, fashion, interior design and I love to get inspired. I love to make photos at the most beautiful sceneries around the world and live in the moment as it comes. When I was 15 years old I did modelling for a few years which brought me a lot in order to feel how it is to stand behind the camera as a model. Back then I already had an eye for details and made a lot of photos with my old little camera. After I received the old analog camera from my grandfather a few years ago, I became to enjoy it even more and started my own company.

With my specific eye for fashion and portrait I capture all the inspiring and special moments with my Sony camera and my amazing old Canon analog camera. I like to play with the naturel daylight and shadows from the place itself and love to work with and be around other creative people to get to the best results.

The beginning of my work comes mainly from Bali. A place that felt like home, and where I still go every now and then. Back in the Netherlands I photographed mainly events, dinners, fashion campaigns and did more branding/portrait projects in a studio. Since May 2025 I started doing weddings. For me at a wedding everything I love to capture comes together; fashion, love, family and friendships, different cultures/traditions and event- and interior styling. A special day that I like to capture as a documentary with a natural edit, in which the important details can also be seen. I love love and find it extra special to photograph this and the magical spark between the bridal couple.
